Ms Vallihu serves as the General Manager of Marketing, Sales and Events at the Durban International Convention Centre (Durban ICC). The Durban ICC is a multi-award winning Centre which has been voted “Africa’s Leading Meetings and Conference Centre” by the World Travel Awards no fewer than 17 times in 18 years. She is a creative, focused, energetic, resilient and customer-focused professional with over 30 years progressive experience in the hospitality industry. Ms Vallihu has held 6 positions during her 15 year tenure at the Durban ICC. Her experience includes Marketing, Sales and Events, thus contributing positively to a comprehensive event lead management strategy in leading high performance teams. She is adept in planning, organizing and executing aggressive strategies to achieve organizational and departmental goals thus positioning the Durban ICC on the global map and contributing to the economic impact of the Durban ICC, the city and South Africa. She does what she loves, and loves what she does.
Ms Vallihu also serve as the SAACI KZN Chairperson. SAACI (South African Association for the Conference Industry) is a professional association that promotes sustainability within the business events industry in Southern Africa with five regional branches and over 1500 members that span across Southern Africa.
