Mr Wiseman Madinane currently serves as the CEO at Bidvest Freight, a division of the Bidvest Group Limited. He is the current Chairperson of the DUT Council. In addition, he served as the President of Convocation for 2 terms. Mr Madinane is also a proud alumnus of DUT, having completed his Diploma in Chemical Engineering at the former ML Sultan Technikon which was merged with Technikon Natal to form DUT. He furthered his studies with a Senior Executive Programme at Harvard Business School, Massachusetts, USA.His career highlights include serving as CEO of Gillmich Pty Ltd, Director at HiTech Transformers, Executive Manager at Transnet Freight Rail and most recently Managing Director at C Steinweg Bridge Rail Division. He has extensive executive managerial experience particularly in the logistics and freight sector, having served in a number of senior positions in both the private and public sector. Mr Madinane was awarded the DUT Convocation Silver Tusk Award in 2005. He enjoys playing golf and is an avid cyclist.
