You can also claim a tax deduction for the value of donations in kind you make to Durban University of Technology as DUT is a Section 18A approved organisation. Donations in kind includes new equipment, asset such as property or vehicles, shares in a listed company, stock from your own business.
Things you trade or manufacture also qualify for SARS tax deduction in value of donations in kind, for example donations of sports equipment, energy management/reduction equipment/installations, computers, iPads, computer servers, computer software, printers, printing solutions, teaching software, training equipment (health, emergency rescue, arts, design, engineering, science, IT, sport, etc.), lab equipment, scientific instruments, packaged food, paper, etc.
